           The Schiavo Library is a private, not-for-profit organization with a mission to provide members with a variety of materials and services designed to meet their needs for edification, enrichment, and enjoyment.

         

The Library, established through the benevolence of Dr. Rita C. Schiavo, is a testament to her generosity, vision, and community-mindedness.

 

 

GOALS and OBJECTIVES:

           The Schiavo Library is committed to providing members with:

 

1.      a thoughtfully focused collection featuring a variety of resources using traditional and emerging technologies

2.      access to library materials and services during convenient hours and in pleasant surroundings

3.      efficient, professional, and responsive service designed to meet patrons’ changing needs and interests

4.      facilities for the use of local individuals, organizations, and agencies for the purpose of community gatherings

5.      expanded resources through the use of complementary and cooperative professional organizations and services.
